Aryna Sabalenka in furious outburst as tennis match suspended: See Photos.

Sabalenka was set to face Rebeka Masarova, but the clash was suspended with the Belarusian claiming her opponent wanted the encounter called off for the day as she was “losing the match”.

The world No.1 had won the first set 6-2, but at the end of the set, Masarova indicated that the court had become too slippery to continue the match.

And the umpire agreed with the Swiss as they also deemed it would be too dangerous to play with the sun starting to set – leaving Sabalenka furious.

The official replied: “You know we’re not going to finish. What’s the point?”

Sabalenka’s latest outburst comes after she revealed she had written to Coco Gauff to apologise for her “completely unprofessional” behaviour following the French Open final.

She had been favourite to take her maiden Roland Garros crown after beating Iga Swiatek, but was stunned by Gauff in the final.
