Emma Raducanu opts out of representing Great Britain as health update emerges

Emma Raducanu, the 22-year-old tennis sensation, has decided to withdraw from representing Great Britain in the upcoming Billie Jean King Cup. Instead, she will be focusing on a training block.

Fresh off an impressive performance at the Miami Open where she reached the quarter-finals, Raducanu was set to play for Great Britain against Germany and the Netherlands. She was initially named as part of the five-player squad alongside Katie Boulter, Sonay Kartal, Harriet Dart and Olivia Nicholls.

However, it has now been confirmed that she will not be participating.
