Emma Raducanu has only played one match at the Italian Open so far but she’s already managed to win an award – just not one she’ll be proud of. The British No. 2 shared a hilarious behind-the-scenes glimpse into one of the player areas at the Foro Italico, revealing that her name had been pinned on the wall for an embarrassing reason.
Raducanu posed in front of a sign titled ‘Sorry I’ve lost my credential 2025 edition!!!’, naming and shaming the stars who had misplaced their accreditation badges and had to get them reprinted. The world No. 49 came in first place on the WTA side, while Italy’s Matteo Arnaldi was the ‘winner’ for the men.
It’s only day three of the tournament on the women’s side of the draw, but Raducanu has been very forgetful, asking for a new badge more than any other player.
The 22-year-old shared the unusual roll of honour on her Instagram story, standing in front and holding her finger up to show that she was number one.
